0402 Psychology(discipline authorized to offer master degreeprogram)

The Department of Psychology at Ningbo University started in 2001. In 2010, it was approved for thediscipline authorized to offer master degreeprogramin psychology. In 2017, a master's degree program in applied Psychology was established. In recent years, the Department of Psychology has actively connected with the national development strategy and conducted scientific research on the major theoretical and practical issues of China's social development. A series of important scientific research achievements have reached the leading level.

This discipline is the key construction discipline of Ningbo City (2018-2020) and the key construction planning discipline of Ningbo University (2019-2022). It mainly consists of three characteristic disciplines, namely "social cognition and decision-making", "Development and Education Psychology" and "health psychology".

There are 24 full-time teachers in the psychology department, including 7 professors (researchers) and 7 associate professors. 90% of the teachers have doctor degrees. They are a team of energetic andvigorousteachers. Among them, there are 1 outstanding teacher in Zhejiang colleges and universities,one teacherin the second level of Zhejiang 151 Talent Project,onein Zhejiang Zhijiang Young Scholar, andtwoin Ningbo University and East Zhejiang Young Scholar.Professor Luo Yuejia, winner of the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Youth, is invited to be the "Bao Yugang"chairProfessor of Ningbo University, and Professor Zhou Xinyue, winner of the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Youth, is invited to be the "Yongjiang Scholar" chair professor of Ningbo University.
