The Preschool Education major is the provincial first-class construction major, ranking in the top 4.68% of the RCCSE, and is a five-star major.It relies on Ningbo University's dual first-class construction of universities and provincial "Pedagogy" first-class disciplines,andbuilds a "platform + module" curriculum system. This major sets up a major subject platform and a professional basic platform, and three collections of children's research, early education and kindergarten new media affairs editor. The orientation module realizes the organic combination of "general education, professional education, and teacher education", aiming to cultivate "teaching + research" compound professionals.

Employment and further study: According to students' interests, there are two different career paths can be selected which are research path and practitioner path. The research path is a technical officer-type research based on policy research on child development, and more are full-time applied researchers in the preschool education department; the practitioner path can be a full-time teacher of a kindergarten institution, an education director, or a trainer in an early education institution , instructor of children's professional amusement facilities, entrepreneurs and managers of infant and children industry. In the past three years, the success rate of entrance examinations and postgraduate entrance examinations has remained above 90%, the professional relevance of employment is high, and employers are highly satisfied with graduates. Every year, students go to Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, UCL and other well-known universities at home and abroad for further study.
